Solo opportunities are a regular feature of GKT Music Society concerts, and the MD will always be delighted to discuss ideas for solos with members. However, for the sake of fairness, solos in the two main concerts are awarded after competitive auditions held in October (and January for those who join after the first round of auditions). Those who are selected to sing solos would be expected to attend rehearsals on Monday evenings between 5-6pm, during the month before the concert. Additionally, workshops and recitals are planned for all those who wish to participate, at all levels of accomplishment.

Thanks to all 29 who have auditioned for solos in the concert. The standard has been very impressive indeed! You will be notified of the outcome by email by the end of Friday 31 October and details will then be published here. There will be a rehearsal for soloists on Monday 3rd November 5-6pm and you will be told whether or not you are needed.
Everyone is welcome into our choir and/or orchestra and there are no auditions!
We often form smaller chamber groups and can offer our services to your function.
